TECNO Pouvoir 4 specifications /detail review /verbly unboxing.
A lot of you guys has requested too, and demanded us to cover TECNO phones. And from now, we will regularly cover upcoming TECNO phones as well. Our today's video is about a very special kind of phone. This is our TECNO Pouvoir 4 Unboxing and its quick review. First lets talk about its name. Its name is 'TECNO Pouvoir [pu.wɒɾ]' This is basically a French word which means 'Power'. And a reason for that might be that a very big and powerful battery is given in this phone. But obviously, this name is difficult to pronounce in Pakistan, so it is known as TECNO Pouvoir in Pakistan. Therefore if you visit any mobile shop to buy this phone, then ask him for 'TECNO Pouvoir' instead of 'TECNO Pouvoir'. The phone is available in three colours, Purple, Sea Green and our device today, which is Cosmic Shine is basically in blue colour. And its retail price is Rs 18,000/- Phone is launched in Pakistan with one variation only, 3GB RAM and 32GB Internal storage, and other amazing features like a very big display and a quad camera setup.
We will start the unboxing with removing this plastic over the box. then we will break the seal and remove the lid. You get the handset at the top most, on which some highlighted features of the phone are mentioned. 7 inches Dot Display, A big battery, Quad camera and Dual Speakers. But before going through with the handset, lets see what else do we get in the box. Some product literature is present with it. And this phone comes with a 13 Month warranty. Along with it, there is a Silicon protective case, which is in this frosted finish, a 2 Amp power brick, a Micro USB Cable, a handsfree headset and a SIM Ejector Tool. Now lets take a closer look at the handset. There is no Screen Protector at the front of the phone nor any comes with the box. This is probably done for costing, but it is a little unfortunate. Back and frame is of Plastic as well, and you can see shiny diagonal lines at the back in this Cosmic Shine colour. The size of the phone is quite big. It is definitely included in the biggest phones up till now. More than a phone, it is a Phablet. I liked its handfeel and because of a big battery, the phone has some weight to it as well. If we talk about button placements and Ports, then on the right side there is Screen On/Off & Power Button and Volume Rockers, Whereas, on the left side there is the dual SIM tray. And below that, in this contrasting red colour, there is a Personal Assistant button of this phone, by which you can launch Google Assistant. And at the bottom side there is the phone's mic, Headphone Jack, Micro USB Port and a Speaker Grill. There is a 7 inches IPS LCD Display in TECNO Pouvoir which has a 720 x 1640 Resolution and the Pixel Density is 255ppi. There is a dew drop notch at the top of the Display. And I found the quality of the display fine as well. Colours are punchy and this display brightens upto 480 nits too. And indeed, this display is a big selling point of this phone. 7 inches is a very big size, and I think it will be bigger than S20 Ultra in size. So, it is definitely a plus point. And this phone is specially designed for those people who consume a lot of video content on their phones, who are on YouTube a lot, or watch Netflix or Amazon Prime, etc So, on a Rs 18,000/- price point, I liked this feature quite a lot. Now, lets talk about TECNO Pouvoir 4's performance and specifications.
MediaTek Helio A22 Processor is given in this phone Which is a very basic type of processor. Along with it, there is 3GB RAM and 32GB Internal Storage. A Full Dual SIM Support also come with this phone, Which means you can insert two SIMs and a microSD card altogether. And the phone comes with Android 10, out of the box. Over which, TECNO's own HiOS is given. Which is very much similar to Infinix's XOS. You will see the similar bloatware and ads that you used to see in Infinix phones.
If we talk about the performance of these phones, we will begin with the Benchmark performance. The single core score of TECNO Pouvoir in Geekbench 4 came out 859. Whereas, the multi-core score came to be 2524. As mentioned earlier, a very basic processor is given in this phone. So obviously, you cannot expect high performance things from this phone and this phone is designed for Video Content Consumption, and for social media, according to me. And for all those things, this processor is fine. If we talk about daily usage apps, for average use, you know, social media Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, this phone will handle those kind of apps very easily.
If we talk about gaming, I played PUBG in this phone, and the game ran on low settings, but it was playable. I didn't feel any issues while playing. So if you want to do casual gaming in this phone, this phone will work easily there as well. You will not have much issues in it. Along with it, Dual Stereo Speakers are given in the phone Yes, guys! Dual Stereo Speakers in Rs 18,000/- price range! One speaker is present here, at the bottom side. and second one is given in its ear piece. And this is also a big selling point, according to me. In fact, I found this to be a quite game changing feature. Specially, in Rs 18,000/- price range.
It is unheard-of. I have never seen it in this type of phone before, that dual stereo speakers are given. And while watching movies, or while gaming, while doing any kind of media consumption, you would definitely feel it. If we talk about the quality of the speakers, you will not get a punchy base or a ridge sound, you'll get a very flat type of sound. But these speakers get very loud, I liked it on the basis of that. If we talk about the fingerprint sensor, this fingerprint sensor is given at the back, the speed of which is acceptable. It was not too much slow, but it wasn't much fast either. When you touch it, you feel a lag and then the phone starts. But I did not have any issues with it in day-to-day usage.
Moving forwards, we will talk about the battery and charging setup of the phone. A very huge 6,000 mAh battery is given in Pouvoir 4. I have seen this big battery only once in a phone before, and that was Rogue Phone 2 which was a very 'Beast' type of phone. And was much more expensive than this phone. A 6,000 mAh battery in Rs 18,000/- price range, is another 'Game Changing' feature, according to me. The charging brick that comes along with this phone, is also of 2Amp. Which is, again, a plus point. If it was of 1 Amp, then even if you'd charge it till Eid, it wouldn't have been charged. If we talk about charging speed, This phone will take a lot of time to get charged. It'll take up to 3.5 to 4 hours easily, therefore you have to ensure, if its battery is empty, then plug it and leave overnight. But once this phone is full charged, then its battery life is outstanding. It will give you up to 2-3 days. If your usage is light, it might cross that as well. Because this phone's battery size is very big. the display is 720p, MediaTek Helio A22 doesn't have much power draw. So, if you want a phone with a very long battery life, then this phone can be an excellent option for you.
Moving forwards, we will talk about the Camera setup of TECNO Pouvoir 4. There is an AI Quad Camera setup at the back, which includes a 13MP Main Camera of f/1.8 aperture, and a dual flash is also given with it. Whereas, on the front side, there is an 8MP Selfie Shooter. And a dual flash is given here as well. Which, in my opinion, is an interesting touch. If we look at some image samples, the colour reproduction was decent, and I liked it for this price range. If we talk about Dynamic range, then in this price range usually crushed shadows and blown highlights are seen. And something like that was present here as well. But the dynamic range was not as bad as it usually is within this price range. But due to the low Mega Pixel count of the camera, you will often get soft images and most of the images had aggressive sharpening as well. If we talk about selfies, you will feel 8MP low quality over here. and the images will be soft and grainy. If we consider the Rs 18,000/- price range here too, then, on that basis, I didn't find the camera that bad. Usually in this price, Colour reproduction and Dynamic Range are seen suffering a lot. And there, I found this phone's performance acceptable. Therefore, according to that, the camera seemed fine to me for this price range.
Lastly, if we talk about some of my final thoughts, then TECNO Pouvoir 4 has impressed me to a great extent. And there are 2-3 prime reasons for that. First, that its price range is very low and in that low price range, you are getting a 7 inches display, along with it, a 6,000 mAh big battery which will run for a very long time, and on a single charge.
In today's world, there will be plenty of people that do a lot of content consumption on their phones, use a lot of social media, or they want a camera that might not be very fancy but good enough to work on your day-to-day usage. And in all three of these things, this phone is very great. I cannot recommend this phone to gamers or performance oriented people, at all but I can recommend to those who want a 'Battery King' in Rs 18,000/- price range. On which they can watch movies, watch videos, consume social media and along with a camera which have decent performance for this price range.
So, if you are looking for a phone in Rs 18,000/- price range, at this moment, then do check out TECNO Pouvoir 4, definitely. What are your thoughts on this phone? Do let me know in the comment section below. That is all for this article. I will meet you in the next one. Goodbye!
