Realme phone verbly unboxing and review
Realme has launched three phones in their lineup now, which is 6i, this Realme 6, and the Realme 6 Pro. If we talk about its price, Realme always confirms the official price at their launch, but the price of Realme 6, according to my estimation, must be around Rs 40,000/- And two variants are launching in Pakistan, 4GB RAM and 8GB RAM and both the phones will have 128GB built in storage. If we talk about colours, it will be available in two colours, Comet Blue and our device today which is Comet White. And this time, Realme has offered quite an aggressive feature set. We have seen in the past, that Realme used to offer better features in lower prices and this phone also contains 2-3 features like that which I really liked. But we will talk about that later in the article.
Before getting on with the unboxing, lets take a look at the box! Few features of the phone are highlighted on the box. A 90 Hz smooth display, a 48MP quad camera, a 30W fast charging and a Helio G90T processor. Lets remove the plastic over the box now and remove the lid. This folder is present at the top most, like always, there is a welcome message by Realme on the folder. Just as you open the folder, there is a SIM Ejector Tool and inside it, there are some user manuals and a silicon protective case.
Moving forwards, here is the handset of Realme 6. But before getting into it, lets check out the remaining contents of the box. A 30W VOOC charger comes along with it and a USB Type-C cable is present. Now lets unwrap the handset and take a closer look at it. The main feature of Realme 6 for me, is its display. A 6.5 inches Full HD display is present in the phone which has a 1080 x 2400 resolution. Where pixel density is 405 ppi. And the maximum brightness of this display is 480 nits. There is hole punch cut out for selfie camera over the display. But the most special thing about this display is its 90Hz display refresh rate. Which means this display refreshes 90 times within a second. Usually, the refresh rates of displays are of 60 these days. So with this 90Hz refresh rate you feel a smoothness, overall And in my experience I have seen that in phones with higher refresh rate panels, not only the experience is smoother, but the speed feels faster as well. And right now, in Rs 40,000/- price point, having a 90 Hz display refresh rate is a huge plus point according to me. If we talk about design and build, the back and frame of Realme 6 is of plastic whereas Gorilla Glass 3 is given on the front side. The back has this pearl-like look where in this shiny white you can see multi colored shades when light is reflected on it from different angles. And if we talk about button placement, on the right side, there is the power button which includes the phone's fingerprint sensor as well. Whereas, on the left side, volume rockers and SIM tray is present. And on the bottom side, speaker grill, USB Type-C port, mic and a headphone jack is present. There is no official certification for this phone but there is Splash resistance in it. So this phone will endure moisture and splash to some extent. Lets talk about Realme 6's hardware specifications and internals now. Here, we see the biggest plus point of this phone And MediaTek Helio G90T processor is given in Realme 6 along with Mali G72 GPU. MediaTek Helio G-series is their gaming series and before this, we have seen processors of the same series in other Realme phones too like Realme C3 and then Realme 6i. But since some time now the discussion that we are hearing about Helio G-series was due to Helio G90T This combination in Realme 6 is a very powerful combination according to me. This phone, for gamers and high performance users, can work great because of its internals. Along with that, this phone will have 4GB RAM and 8GB RAM options, and the phone will come with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.
If we talk about expansion, there is a dual SIM slot in the phone, in which a dedicated SD card slot is given which means you can insert two SIMs and one SD card, simultaneously. And if we talk about interface, Realme 6 ships with Android 10, out of the box. Over which, Realme's own RealmeUI is given, which is, to a great extent, is a Stock Android like experience Not much heavy skinning is done over it, so its look and feel would seem like that of a stock android which I really like for sure and it gives a lighter feel to the phone. Moving forwards, if we talk about its battery and charging setup, so a 4,300 mAh battery is placed in Realme 6, but this phone comes with a 30W fast charging which, according to Realme, will charge the phone under an hour. Realme claims that in 55 minutes the phone will completely charge from empty to full. And surely, I will test this thing out for the phone's full review. Moving forwards, if we talk about the camera setup of this phone, then here, the camera is a lot like the one that we saw in Realme 6i just with a few upgrades. So, the main camera is upgraded here. And a 64MP Wide angle lens of f/1.8 aperture is added on the back. This is the same 64 MP Samsung GW1 sensor which we observed in Realme XT and in Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro before. And the camera game of both those phones was quite strong. Rest of the camera configuration is like Realme 6i. There's an 8MP ultra wide lens of f/2.3 aperture, a 2MP Macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. And on the front side, in Realme 6, you get a 16MP Wide Angle Selfie Shooter of f/2.0 aperture.
Realme has impressed me with its camera game in the past specially due to their software processing So now we have to see has Realme given the same performance in 6-series that we've seen before? And I will test that out for its full review, indeed. But if we talk about my initial impressions, then I am really excited for this phone because MediaTek Helio G90T processor is given in it. Which we have seen in the past, that it easily competes with Rs 40,000/- above price range as well. Along with that, the 90Hz display refresh rate that is given is also a huge plus point according to me. Specially in this price range, it will give a 'wow factor' to the phone to some extent.
